Chicago Public Library’s YOUmedia Program Expanding

With 12 participating branches, 4 of which are geared towards tweens, while the other 8 are for high school students, Chicago Public Library is planning to add YOUmedia centers to 5 more branches by 2018 with the generous gifts from BMO Harris Bank and Allstate.

Going Inside the Box The Wired Library

As learning is the point of libraries, it is time to consider the best ways to serve our communities. That means we need to do more to learn how people learn. There is an incredible amount of well-researched, well-documented learning theories. Two theories that we are currently drawn to are experiential learning and connected learning.
