Melanie A. Lyttle is the head of public services at Madison Public Library in Madison, Ohio. She received her MLS in 2003 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Melanie was an ALSC-sponsored 2010 ALA Emerging Leader. She also participated in Library Leadership Ohio in 2008. Melanie currently serves as Ohio Library Council's Northeast Chapter Action Council Coordinator, and she is a member of the Children and Technology Committee for ALSC. Most importantly, Melanie is known in her community as the Crabby Librarian.
