Yelena Nedlina has a few degrees, including a Master of Library and Information Science, a Master of Education (Special Needs), and a Master of Speech and Language Pathology. She is an alumni of Kent State University Library School. She has a few publications such as articles in Bookmobile and Outreach Services and Public Libraries Quarterly. Her professional areas of interest are public library services, public services to culturally diverse communities, and library outreach services.
Using Programming to Bridge Library and School
For years public libraries have provided summer reading programs, school reading lists and collections, conferences, clubs, and other educational, entertainment, and informational events for school age children. The purpose of this article is to provide a variety of examples of programs that are an easy way to facilitate learning while making studying enjoyable.
