New FYI Episode: Arlington Library’s Gift Nook: Holiday Giving, Reimagined

This episode explores how Arlington (VA) Public Library’s (APL) Holiday Gift Nook redefines holiday giving and promotes sustainability. Entirely fueled by community donations, the Gift Nook transforms donated items into a curated shopping experience where families can select giftable items at no cost. In 2023, this effort provided 758 attendees with over 2,200 free gifts, alleviating holiday stress and fostering a spirit of sustainability and generosity.
