Early Bird Registration Extended Through January 26 for PLA 2026
The Public Library Association has extended early bird registration for PLA 2026 through January 26, 2026.
PLA 2026 will take place April 1–3 in Minneapolis, bringing together public library workers from across the country for three days of learning, connection, and professional development. We know many library workers are navigating internal approval timelines for travel and professional development. To support planning and make registration more accessible, we’ve extended the early registration deadline for PLA 2026 through January 26.

Learning Designed for Public Library Work
The conference program includes more than 100 educational sessions, offering a range of formats designed to meet different learning styles and schedules. Attendees can choose from quick Hot Takes, 20-minute How-To sessions, hour-long programs, and in-depth Deep Dives, allowing participants to build a personalized conference experience.
PLA 2026 will also include structured networking opportunities and a robust exhibit hall featuring vendors offering products, services, and solutions that support public library work.
Meet Minneapolis
PLA 2026 will be hosted in Minneapolis, a city known for its strong public institutions, cultural amenities, and welcoming communities. Conference attendees will have opportunities to explore local neighborhoods, restaurants, and attractions during their stay. For those unable to attend in person, virtual conference registration is also available, providing access to select sessions online.
